Butlers and servants - support for all tasks in your household
When a private butler is sought, he or she should usually take care of all the personal services that make the client's private life easier.
Therefore, the respective activities can vary greatly; after all, every household is as unique as its owner. However, the service usually begins at the start of the day: For example, your butler will serve coffee and the daily newspaper - if desired, in the morning by the bed, and will lay out a suit and matching tie, a colour-coordinated shirt and shoes.
A butler's tasks also include stretching shoes on shoe trees after wearing them, cleaning them, inspecting them for defects and taking them to be repaired and collecting them independently.

What qualifications are sought in a butler?
Training in the catering industry, such as a hotel or restaurant specialist, is an advantage in order to be able to set the table in style and demonstrate perfect manners. A quick grasp of things, the ability to familiarise yourself with the job and a willingness to work irregular hours such as weekends, nights or early mornings are also important. Butlers should have a good command of etiquette and be able to serve the right wine with the right food using their professional knowledge. There is no legally defined training programme - neither for servants nor for butlers.
