Near Graz, in Austria, an experienced and discreet butler (m/f/d) (40 hours per week) is sought for a well-organised and well-maintained castle household. The household consists mainly of three people and is home to a family of entrepreneurs. The lovingly renovated castle requires a responsible and reliable individual who will manage the household with passion and care, whilst attending to the lord of the house with attentiveness and discretion.

Your tasks:

• Organisation of the household
• Coordination and supervision of other staff, such as cleaners, the housekeeper, the chauffeur and the cook
• Guidance and support for domestic staff
• Role model function within the household staff
• Welcoming and receiving guests
• Covering
• Preparing breakfast
• Service at the table
• Shoe care
• Ironing the master of the house’s wardrobe
• Suitcase packing
• Turndown Service
• And much more

In this demanding castle household, you will work closely with a team comprising housekeepers, an assistant butler, a chauffeur and a chef. Your main responsibility will be to manage and coordinate this staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the entire household. You will be the first point of contact for the family’s requests and act as the head of the family’s right-hand person. You will fulfil all requests, particularly those of the master of the house, discreetly and reliably.

Travelling companions are only required to a very limited extent for this position.

As the current holder of the post is due to take his well-deserved retirement at the end of the year, he is still available to provide comprehensive induction training.
