An experienced, child-friendly housekeeper (m/f/d) (20 hours per week) is sought in Hirschberg an der Bergstraße, north of Heidelberg. The family lives in a 160m² new-build home and is looking for a reliable person who can organise the household independently and with enthusiasm.

Your tasks:

We are looking for someone who can keep on top of things, reliably carry out recurring tasks and manage the household with care and attention to detail. On two days a week, you will spend 6 hours each day thoroughly cleaning the living areas, cleaning the bathrooms and floors, and taking care of the laundry. You will also carry out minor shopping trips and run errands, such as dropping off and collecting shirts from the dry cleaner’s. Another aspect of the role is assisting with the care of the family’s daughter (aged 4). The remaining 8 hours will be worked flexibly according to the mother’s long-term rota, in consultation with you – for example, to drive the child to nursery, to accompany her in the morning, or to provide loving care in the afternoon. A friendly, warm and child-friendly approach is particularly important to the family. Help in the kitchen is also welcome. The family will provide recipes and clearly indicate whether ingredients need to be prepped or complete meals prepared. Light gardening is also part of your responsibilities. This is particularly the case in summer, when the outdoor areas and seating are in use, or in autumn, when the leaves need clearing away. In this way, you will help to ensure that the garden remains a well-tended and inviting place at all times. The family values reliability, discretion, careful handling of furnishings and materials, as well as open and respectful communication. Mutual feedback and a friendly working relationship are encouraged, so that, over time, a well-coordinated and trusting team can develop. The family values a long-term working relationship and is looking for a housekeeper who thinks on their feet, works meticulously and sees themselves as a reliable part of everyday life. A driving licence is an advantage for occasional driving duties, although the property is also easily accessible by public transport.
