A child-friendly, English-speaking housekeeper (m/f/d) (20 hours per week) is sought in Hamburg-Blankenese. This loving, warm-hearted family of six lives in a modern house of around 300 m² with a stunning view. They are looking for a warm-hearted helper who will thoughtfully ensure tidiness, cleanliness and a well-organised daily routine for the family.
Your tasks:

The focus is on taking meticulous care of the household, particularly cleaning bathrooms and floors, as well as keeping the home tidy on a day-to-day basis, so that it remains welcoming even amidst the hustle and bustle of family life. Equally important is a keen eye for tidiness, especially in the playroom and children’s bedroom, so that the „little rascals“ – a daughter (aged 7), two sons (aged 1 and 5) and, soon, a baby – have plenty of space to play whilst still maintaining a sense of order.
The role also involves looking after the laundry, including the occasional bit of ironing, which, according to the family, is only required on a very limited basis. Window cleaning is also limited to children’s smudges and visible marks. Otherwise, a window cleaner comes round regularly.
In addition, the parents would appreciate help with childcare: this includes collecting the children from school or nursery, as well as occasional childcare, roughly once a week. Another of the family’s wishes is for fresh, child-friendly meals that fit well into the daily routine and which the children enjoy. As the family speaks only English and Danish, excellent communication in English is a key requirement for this role. Overall, the ideal candidate will be a flexible person who thinks proactively, remains calm when things get hectic, and supports the family with warmth and kindness.
