A reliable housekeeper (m/f/d) (28–35 hours per week) is sought in the north of Hanover. The family lives in a modern, spacious new-build property with a guest house and is looking for an experienced housekeeper who, with a structured approach, an eye for detail, a warm and friendly manner, and a commitment to high standards, will ensure that the household runs smoothly.

The focus is on independently managing the household for a family of four comprising two adults and two children aged 3 and 7, as well as a dog. You will develop practical routines, keep an eye on the whole house and ensure that tidiness and cleanliness are consistently maintained to a very high standard. The total living space is approximately 550 square metres (main house and guest house); garden maintenance is not included in the role.
Particular emphasis is placed on laundry care, including ironing, which is important to the family. They also require you to handle high-quality and delicate materials such as cashmere or silk with care, and to have a good overall knowledge of materials and surfaces, for example wood, natural stone and high-quality kitchen and bathroom surfaces. You will take care of shopping and small errands as part of your daily routine, and occasionally prepare simple, child-friendly meals.
Childcare is required as and when needed, for example to collect the children from nursery or school from time to time, or when they are unwell. A valid driving licence and safe driving are therefore essential; a car can be provided if required. Equally important are a friendly, welcoming manner when dealing with service providers, as well as reliability, discretion and a meticulous approach to work. If you enjoy flowers, you are welcome to put together a lovely bouquet from the garden flowers from time to time.

Working hours are usually between approximately 8.30 am and 3.30 pm. This is a live-out position. However, if you are not from the local area, the employer will be happy to assist you in finding accommodation. No specific training is required, but several years’ experience in a private household in a similar role is strongly preferred.
