A reliable and warm-hearted full-time housekeeper (m/f/d) or carer (m/f/d) is sought in Bad Segeberg, working 40 hours per week. The elderly couple are looking for a trustworthy carer who can support them in their daily lives with calm, attentiveness and warmth, whilst also providing relief.

Your tasks:

• Support
• Keep order
• Assistance with personal hygiene
• Purchasing
• Cooking
• Errands
• Transport services (driving licence essential)

At the heart of this responsible role is providing empathetic support to a married couple. At present, the main need is for practical assistance with day-to-day life, with a particular focus on looking after the husband, who requires more support, whilst ensuring that his wife’s needs are not neglected.

The aim is to be there for older people with sensitivity, patience and a good understanding of their needs, and to help make their day pleasant and well-structured. You’ll provide support with household tasks and take on day-to-day organisational duties to ensure their home remains well-looked-after and comfortable. You will also help with daily routines, particularly with washing, getting dressed and morning and evening routines. A respectful manner, discretion and a caring, appreciative approach are particularly important here. In addition, shopping and running small errands are part of your role, as is the occasional preparation of meals. Your company is also very much appreciated. The couple would enjoy conversations, reading together, board or card games, or other mentally stimulating activities. If required, you will also accompany them to appointments or on walks. A particularly rewarding aspect of this role is that you will not only support the elderly gentleman in his daily life, but also provide tangible relief for his wife. We are therefore looking for a friendly, patient and trustworthy person who enjoys working with older people and who, with natural warmth, ensures a harmonious relationship. Experience in caring for older people is very welcome. Accommodation may be provided.
