An experienced and caring qualified carer (m/f/d) is sought in Hamburg-Othmarschen to carry out domestic duties (20 hours per week). This upmarket, lively and lovingly run household, home to a married couple with an extended family, is situated in a historic villa and is looking for someone with a warm heart, empathy and a respectful manner.

Your tasks:

• Support with morning care and carrying out daily routines
• Help with light housework
• Ironing and silver care
• Shopping assistance
• Cooking simple meals as and when required
• Situational dog care

This role combines providing caring support to an elderly person with dementia with light domestic help.

We are looking for a qualified carer who can support the elderly with care and empathy, keep them company and provide assistance with their day-to-day needs as these evolve. The weekly deep clean is carried out by two ladies, so you will only be required to undertake simple domestic tasks to supplement this. These include keeping the house tidy, ironing, polishing silverware or lovingly looking after the dog when required. The dog does not live in the household but only visits occasionally. By arrangement, you will prepare a meal at lunchtime. Everything takes place in an environment where a family atmosphere is highly valued and a keen sensitivity towards all family members is of great importance.

The grandchildren from the house next door visit their grandparents every day and bring a lively atmosphere to their daily lives, so the family is looking for someone with a child-friendly, positive attitude and a good heart. As you’ll also be required to drive them around, a driving licence is essential; a car will be provided. If you’re not intrusive or headstrong, but have a good sense of when to be close and when to keep your distance, this is the perfect role for you.

The role is initially set at 20 hours per week and offers the prospect of full-time, 24-hour care as a team is established. This makes the role ideal for candidates who are looking for a long-term, position of trust in a private setting and who enjoy supporting people in a personal and caring manner.
