An all-round nanny (m/f/d) (40 hours per week) is sought in Hamburg-Eppendorf. The single dad lives in a lovely flat in a period building and is looking for a warm, reliable and positive-minded person to help him, who will happily and thoughtfully organise the household whilst also showing a loving approach towards the children.

In this role, you will provide vital support to a single father, mainly on the days when he is looking after the children (five days every 14 days). You will look after the two children (a 5-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son), who live with their father on a fortnightly rotation. Your shift begins on Wednesday afternoons when you collect the children from the nursery and ends on Monday mornings when you take them back to the nursery. During this time, you will organise activities for the children that are loving and age-appropriate, whilst also ensuring the playroom and children’s bedroom are kept tidy. Your duties also include preparing fresh, child-friendly meals. You will plan and carry out the shopping for ingredients independently, whilst also running small errands. In addition, you will take care of the laundry with diligence and be responsible for organising household matters, such as ordering drinks. We are looking for a nanny with the necessary flexibility, who works independently, responds lovingly to the children’s needs and thinks on their feet. The father would like someone who is available from Wednesday afternoon until Monday morning, as he wishes to have the freedom to organise his business and personal commitments as he sees fit during this period. During these five nights, you should generally be willing to stay overnight by arrangement. On Monday mornings, you will take the children to nursery and then tidy up the house. You will have the following nine days off, apart from a few organisational tasks as agreed. If you enjoy running a household in a structured way, taking on responsibility and, at the same time, being a loving part of the family’s daily life, you will find a rewarding and long-term role here in a supportive environment. A domestic helper who carries out a thorough clean twice a week is also available.
