A capable housekeeper (m/f/d) (40 hours per week) is sought near Wismar. The young couple live with two lovely dogs in a historic manor house with horses and an adjoining farm, and are looking for a warm, down-to-earth person who will manage the household with care, roll up their sleeves and ensure the home is well looked after in every respect.

Your tasks:

• Basic, maintenance and visual cleaning
• Keep order
• Create structures
• Textile care

• General household organisation

The role centres on reliable housekeeping, with a keen eye for cleanliness, attention to detail and a pleasant atmosphere. You will be responsible for regular cleaning and ensuring that rooms, surfaces and sanitary facilities are always well maintained. You will look after not only the manor house but also the office located on the estate. Equally important to the household is a clear daily routine: with your eye for order, you will help to organise the house – which has been newly occupied following a generational change – streamline processes and arrange items in a practical manner.

Laundry is also part of your responsibilities. You will take care of washing, drying, folding and ironing, and you enjoy handling fabrics with care. You will do the shopping independently and with foresight, as agreed, to ensure the household is well supplied.

We particularly welcome your enthusiasm for the occasional cook. We’re looking for regional, seasonal and down-to-earth cuisine, ideally complemented by baking if you enjoy it. There’s scope here for reliability in everyday life, as well as for simple, tasty dishes that reflect the season.

A hunt takes place once or twice a year, and we would appreciate your help both with the preparations and during the event itself.

As this is a property with a rural character, looking after the plants and keeping a watchful eye on tasks „around the house“ will round off your responsibilities. A driving licence and your own car are essential so that you can run errands and travel flexibly. We are looking for someone who is warm and friendly, thinks pragmatically and is able to lend a hand wherever it is needed. You should also be good with children, as the couple are planning to have children in the future. However, further support will be available when the time comes.
